Sorry I Wished

This is my newer project, which most of you have probably already begun reading if you were/are a member of TCO. It was posted there, only three chapters, but now it’s getting a makeover as well.

Three different people, three different perspectives, three different lives that are all about to be thrown together.

Daniel, Grace, and Eli all attend Manchester High School, each fitting into a typical high school stereotype. Daniel is the big man on campus and captain of the soccer team. Grace is the quiet new girl that is crushing on the big man on campus. Eli is the skateboarding, starving artist who almost hit said new girl with his car.

Each of them has a wish. Daniel wishes he had someone who he could tell everything to—without being judged. He wishes he could find his biological parents. He wishes his sister wasn’t in a coma from a drug overdose.

Grace wishes her mom wasn’t pregnant. She wishes Daniel would give her the time of day. She wishes Eli wouldn’t be so nice to her. She wishes her life was less boring.

Eli wishes his dad would come home, or at least that his mom could find a good boyfriend for once, instead of the greasy sleaze-bags she always brings home. He wishes she would stop drinking. He wishes Grace would realize how much he cares about her.

A life-changing, coincidental chain of events follow. Daniel’s learns things about his real parents that he doesn’t want to know, but he finds solace in the quiet new girl. Grace’s too-old-for-this mother starts having pregnancy troubles, but Daniel starts taking notice of her. Eli’s mother’s drinking problem only worsens, but his dad finally comes home, only to turn everything upside down.

Everyone knows the old saying, “Be careful what you wish for”. Well, Daniel, Grace, and Eli are about to be sorry they even wished in the first place.

Is this the infamous new novel you wouldn’t let me see? I’m shocked you find me unworthy of proofreading it for you.
Just as well, this looks extraordinary. I do adore your work.
